One hour, on the hangar floor

What happens during a session

Guided walkaround

Twenty minutes around the aircraft with the team. The 8 rotors, the hybrid range extender, the whole-airframe parachute.

Sit in the cockpit

Open the gull-wing doors and get in. The autopilot is the primary controller: the pilot expresses intent, the autopilot handles the rest. Bring a camera.

Ask anything

Certification path, ownership, delivery timeline, what it costs. Straight answers from the people building it.

Plan for about an hour. The walkaround is twenty minutes, the questions usually take longer.

MOSAIC

How regulation has changed

Most pilots do not know the rule changed. The FAA's MOSAIC rule makes the JP1 operable as a Light Sport Aircraft, flown by a Sport Pilot with a passenger: about 20 hours of training, no FAA medical, a valid driver's license covers the medical privilege. If you are already certificated, that last point is the one that matters. Two hours in the air. Refuel like a car.
